Day 1

  • Arusha – Tarangire National Park
  • Early morning pick up from Arusha (or Moshi town)
  • Drive through the Masai Steppe via Makuyuni Junction
  • Head over to the Tarangire National Park, the fifth largest park in Tanzania
  • Encounter large herds of elephants and iconic Baobab trees
  • Explore the park, home to various animal species including rare breeds like Oryx and hirolas
  • Drive out of the park in the afternoon
  • Stay overnight in the lodge that matches your selected comfort level: standard, comfort, or luxury.

Day 2

  • Ngorongoro Crater
  • Enjoy an early morning breakfast at your camp at sunrise
  • Check out and drive towards the Ngorongoro Crater, known as the 8th Wonder of the world
  • Register at the Loduare Main Gate upon arrival
  • Descend into the Crater for a remarkable game drive, accompanied by a picnic lunch on the crater floor
  • Explore the Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera, and a sanctuary for Africa’s densest animal populations
  • Witness diverse wildlife, including lions, elephants, zebras, hippos, rhinos, and more
  • Ascend to the Crater rim in the afternoon, with the option to check in at a lodge (additional cost) or stay at a regular lodge in Karatu
  • Stay overnight in the lodge that matches your selected comfort level: standard, comfort, or luxury.

Day 3

  • Lake Manyara - Transfer to back Arusha Area / Departure
  • Begin your day with an early morning breakfast at the lodge
  • Descend into the floor of the Great Rift Valley for your last day of the 3-day safari in Tanzania
  • Explore Lake Manyara National Park, known for its euphorbia tirucalli trees and tree-climbing lions
  • Encounter diverse wildlife, including impalas, giraffes, buffaloes, and dik-diks
  • Witness the lush evergreen forest at the park’s entrance, a habitat for blue monkeys, baboons, bushbucks, and elephants
  • Explore the Hippo pools and observe aquatic birds, including flamingoes, pelicans, and Egyptian geese, at Lake Manyara
  • Continue game drives until midday
  • Drive back to Arusha, where you can be dropped off at your hotel or, if departing, at Kilimanjaro International Airport

Incredible experience made all the more special by Honest and his team We couldn’t endorse Honest and his team more. Immediately after meeting, we were made to feel extremely welcome, safe, and informed, which remained throughout the duration of our adventure.We first climbed Mount Meru where Honest took us to spots to see Giraffes in the wild as well as many monkeys, warthogs, and other animals. This served as the perfect preparation for Kilimanjaro.The team we had for Kili was exemplary. The whole time there was a real bond between the entire group. We’d regularly spend time beyond meal times talking with Honest and Justin about life and the adventure we were currently on which was extremely insightful. The food also far surpassed our expectations with exactly the type of fuel we needed such as pastas, fruits, eggs, etc. Our chef was called the “stomach engineer” for very appropriate reasons!Throughout the climb, Honest ensured we maintained an enjoyable tempo and there wasn’t a moment we felt too slow or rushed. The culmination of this was being fresh for summit morning and being the first team to summit, just as the sun was rising. With minor altitude sickness in the team on descent, Honest gave appropriate nutrition and instruction to manage the situation. Thereafter, there was a party atmosphere within the group, even having music and dancing on the last morning of the descent where we exchanged gifts and final stories.Overall, it was the trip of a lifetime made all the more special by Honest and his team. Perfectly prepared and executed that set us up for success. The relationship with Honest was tremendous, so much so that we are still in regular contact today and when a return trip is due, there are no hesitations in going straight to Zanzi Trekking and Safaris.
