Upon arrival at the campsite, you’ll be warmly welcomed by your safari guide, who will provide you with a briefing and orientation for your upcoming adventure. Setting up your camping equipment and settling into the campsite, you’ll be ready to embark on a remarkable safari experience.

The safari adventure begins with a full-day game drive in a wildlife reserve or national park. Accompanied by experienced guides, you’ll have the opportunity to explore diverse landscapes and encounter a wide variety of wildlife species. These game drives will take you through different areas of the reserve or park, maximizing your chances of wildlife sightings and providing you with a deeper understanding of the local ecosystems.

Day 1

  • Arusha to Tarangire
  • Pick up at 8:30 AM from your Arusha hotel for a journey to Tarangire National Park.
  • Enjoy a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch, exploring the park known for majestic baobab trees and the Tarangire River.
  • Encounter diverse wildlife, including large elephant herds, lion, leopard, cheetah, lesser kudu, buffalo, Oryx, eland, giraffe, and zebra.
  • Conclude the day’s adventure by returning to your camp/lodge for a delicious dinner.

Day 2

  • Tarangire to Central Serengeti
  • Depart after a hearty breakfast for Serengeti National Park, traveling through the vast and endless grasslands.
  • Experience an afternoon game drive in the Serengeti, renowned as one of the most impressive wildlife sanctuaries globally.
  • Witness the great herds of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles, or perhaps catch sight of a pride of lions relaxing in the shade.
  • Enjoy a picnic lunch during the day-long game drive, immersing yourself in the Serengeti’s remarkable biodiversity.
  • Conclude the eventful day with a hearty dinner and a restful night in your accommodation.

Day 3

  • Central Serengeti to Ngorongoro
  • Begin the day with a morning game drive in Serengeti National Park following a satisfying breakfast.
  • Depart later for Ngorongoro Conservation Area, accompanied by a picnic lunch on the journey.
  • Explore the Ngorongoro Crater, the largest collapsed volcanic crater globally, surrounded by extinct volcanoes and home to around 30,000 animals.
  • Witness the natural beauty of the crater’s floor, adorned with watering holes, during your visit.
  • Conclude the eventful day with a hearty dinner and a restful night in your accommodation.

Day 4

  • Ngorongoro Crater Tour (5 hours) to Arusha
  • Commence the last day of your safari with an early start, beginning with a quick breakfast.
  • Experience an early descent into the Ngorongoro Crater around 6:30 AM, the world’s largest inactive volcanic caldera.
  • Explore the crater floor, spanning about 260 sq kms with a depth of over 2000 feet, during a 5-hour game drive showcasing abundant wildlife.
  • Capture the diverse animal action, including African elephants, buffalo, black rhinos, hippos, hyenas, cheetahs, and lions – keeping your camera ready is highly recommended.
  • Enjoy a picnic lunch at the picturesque Hippo pool, followed by a steep ascent to the crater’s top exit.
  • Embark on the final leg of your safari with a 4-hour drive back to Arusha.
  • Conclude your journey with a drop-off at your preferred location in Arusha by 6:00 PM, bidding farewell to your team and leaving with unforgettable memories.

Incredible experience made all the more special by Honest and his team We couldn’t endorse Honest and his team more. Immediately after meeting, we were made to feel extremely welcome, safe, and informed, which remained throughout the duration of our adventure.We first climbed Mount Meru where Honest took us to spots to see Giraffes in the wild as well as many monkeys, warthogs, and other animals. This served as the perfect preparation for Kilimanjaro.The team we had for Kili was exemplary. The whole time there was a real bond between the entire group. We’d regularly spend time beyond meal times talking with Honest and Justin about life and the adventure we were currently on which was extremely insightful. The food also far surpassed our expectations with exactly the type of fuel we needed such as pastas, fruits, eggs, etc. Our chef was called the “stomach engineer” for very appropriate reasons!Throughout the climb, Honest ensured we maintained an enjoyable tempo and there wasn’t a moment we felt too slow or rushed. The culmination of this was being fresh for summit morning and being the first team to summit, just as the sun was rising. With minor altitude sickness in the team on descent, Honest gave appropriate nutrition and instruction to manage the situation. Thereafter, there was a party atmosphere within the group, even having music and dancing on the last morning of the descent where we exchanged gifts and final stories.Overall, it was the trip of a lifetime made all the more special by Honest and his team. Perfectly prepared and executed that set us up for success. The relationship with Honest was tremendous, so much so that we are still in regular contact today and when a return trip is due, there are no hesitations in going straight to Zanzi Trekking and Safaris.
